Blooming With Kindness

Here is a simple, but lovely card made with Stampin' Up! set Blooming With Kindness.  The "ribbon" border is made using the Tasteful Trim Bigz die and I stamped the image from the flower on the trim to give it a little more pop.  Paper colors used are Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, and Very Vanilla.  The ink is Raspberry Ripple.

Fun Wedding Wishes

These wedding wishes were especially made for Mr. & Mrs. Garry Berra.  Congratulations Garry & Paige!

This card was CASE'd from a sample in the new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog.  It shows a fun and creative use of clear window sheets, Designer Series Paper, and Paper Daisies.

Graduation Card

I want to show you this darling card made by one of my Stamp Club members, Julie Morgan.  There is very little Stampin' Up! product in the card, but it was just so creative I just had to share it with you!  Thanks, Julie, for sharing your creative talents with us!

This was the last finished detail that was missing when I took the photo of the inside shown above.  The "congratulations" comes from the now retired Stampin' Up! Hostess set Something to Celebrate.

The card is designed with a pocket on the right to hold money.

Summer Fun!

The Stamp Club ladies had a wonderful time Friday night with these fun summer-themed cards.  We even had watermelon margaritas and a watermelon dessert made of Sherbet to add to the summer fun!  Yum!  Here are the cards we made and a picture of the refreshments just for fun.

Inside of the Margarita Card

The idea for the Margarita Hang in There card came from a cute sample made by Mary Ellen Stites.  Her card was an adorable martini, but you can see how I got the idea.  You can see her original image here.

The idea for the Kindness Means so Much card is a direct case, except for the sentiment, from Susan Horr.  Unfortunately, I don't have a webpage link for her, but want to thank her so much for the inspiration and her permission to CASE her work!

To make the Kindness Means so Much card I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies.

This is the Father's Day card I gave to my dad this year.  Again, I found this idea in cyber world on Dawn Olchefske's site.  I loved the idea of creating a porthole.  My card turned out very different from hers, as I used the new Comfort Cafe DSP, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Midnight Muse cardstock.  The stamp sets were The Open Sea and Delightful Dozen. 

This was a very fun technique, using scraps of rubber to create a mosaic design that was stamped over the ship image with VersaMark, then embossed with clear embossing powder.  The next step to creating the cracked glass look was to rub Crumb Cake ink into the cracks with a sponge.  A little creative layering and ta da -- a porthole!  Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine adds a great finishing touch.
