Merry Christmas!
We have finished 2 of our 5 Christmas celebrations as of this posting. Please take a moment to count all your blessings this year; and remember the greatest gift ever given was a small Babe in a manger who grew up to share His love so much that He accepted the burden of all our sins as He died on the cross, then rose to Heaven in victory over death so we could have eternal life in Heaven with Him. NOW THAT IS AN INCREDIBLE GIFT!

Merry Little Christmas Snowflake
Here is another great card I CASED from Beth Beard using the Merry Little Christmas stamp set and the Festive Flurry Framelits. The card is 5-1/4" square and was fairly easy to make, since the DSP and Framelits really did all the work. I have gotten a lot of use out of this stamp set this year--it's simple, but has so much POP!
Here are all the supplies you need to make this card. You may order these supplies HERE and please use Hostess Code 9SEPMTWH.
Stamp Set: Merry Little Christmas (131826w, 131829c) Holiday Catalog

I know I promised to post this over a week ago, but I just got sidetracked with so many Christmas projects and am running a bit slow due to a cold that won't let me breathe or sleep. I really don't have time for a cold!!!

Joyful Christmas
Here is a lovely poinsettia in a very non-traditional color, but oh, it does have some beautiful impact! Thanks to Beth Beard at www.mylittlecraftblog.com for the wonderful inspiration! Beth does lovely work, and I CASED this card exactly from her. That is very rare for me. I often CASE cards, but usually tweak them to create a different finished product. This card was perfect for me just the way it was and we used it, along with another one I will post tomorrow, for a Stamp Club project. They were both a big hit!
It was simple to emboss the greeting and the poinsettia in silver on Bermuda Bay card stock, then cut out the poinsettias and layer them together with Dimensionals. Be sure to use your Embossing Buddy on the Bermuda Bay card stock to prevent stray pieces of embossing powder from sticking to your card stock. The Silver Foil pieces were also layered together with Dimensionals. Finally, I popped up the double-layer poinsettia with Dimensionals on the embossed Silver Foil piece and glued a Frosted Finishes piece in the center. You can use Liquid Tombow or Glue Dots for this.
POW! Instant impact! I love this card!

Thankful For You!
Doesn't this look fun! I made all these sweet little bags filled with chocolates for all my friends and family for Thanksgiving. Customers who attended November Stamp Clubs also received them. I am so thankful for the wonderful people in my life! The bags are sitting in a little fall basket I have and overflowing onto the table. There are 36 bags shown here! I CASED this idea from an image I found on someone's blog--I just don't remember her name. Sorry!
The bags were fairly easy to assemble. I used the stencil from the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit to make the dots on the bottom of the Mini Muslin Bags and Sweater Weather DSP for the big leaf. The sentiment is from the hostess set, Banner Greetings. Different embellishments were used to accent the leaves. As I ran out of one embellishment, I switched to another. Sometimes you just have to be resourceful with the supplies you have on hand!
For the ones using the Naturals Designer Buttons, I used a tiny safety pin from Vintage Trinkets to attach the leaves to the bag. Others were attached using Antique Brads or Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Brads, poking the brad through the bag and opening the prongs inside the bag.
It was so much fun paper piercing the small Cajun Craze leaf and stitching Linen Thread through the holes to create veins in the leaf. I used my Craft Scissors from Stampin' Up! to cut the Linen Thread. It's the very best scissors I have ever used for cutting ribbon and getting a clean edge. A little sponging around the edges of the leaves with Chocolate Chip ink gave each leaf a little more depth and interest. I also crinkled up the leaves a bit to give them more dimension.
What do you think? How many different ways could you decorate these adorable bags? The possibilities are endless . . .

Beautiful Fall Colors with Gently Falling
With this card I have showcased some of the beautiful fall colors. I think leaves in general are very soothing, and the richness of fall colors just magnifies that feeling. This card has a base of Pumpkin Pie with layers of Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry (the "other" fall color). The richness of these colors together is just breathtaking! Inks used were Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, and Pumpkin Pie. To create this effect of the falling leaves, I simply stamped several leaf images in different colors, then topped it with the outline image in Rich Razzleberry. I ran the Old Olive strip through the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and flagged the ends to give it more texture and interest, then popped up the leaf panel on Dimensionals. I love this card--it looks so stunning and is very quick and easy to make.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Gently Falling (128430-w, 123804-c), A Dozen Thoughts (131056-w, 131059-c)
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie
Other: Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder (132174), Paper Snips (103579), Basic Pearls (119247), Dimensionals (104430)

Soccer Card
This is another birthday card I made for my nephew. I thought a fun shaped soccer ball card would be perfect for him. For this card I used the 3 1/2" Bigz Die to cut out the shape, then ran it through the Honeycomb Embossing Folder with the Big Shot. I ran a Basic Black piece of card stock through the same folder and cut out some of the hexagon shapes to create the soccer ball effect. The sentiment is from retired stamp set Happiest Birthday Wishes.

Lego Birthday
Today I wanted to share with you the fun birthday card I made for my son, Zachary. It's definitely a bit unconventional, especially since it's for his 18th birthday! I chose to make it fun and creative, since he is so very creative and still loves to build and create with Legos. Honestly, he really does! After he creates detailed scenes and men with them, he takes hundreds of photos and makes stop-motion videos which he then sets to music, adds sound effects, and enters some into contests. So that's a bit of the background as to why I chose this for his birthday. This incredible creativity truly is who he is and I hope he always nurtures that creative soul.
The card is a center step card, giving it lots of dimension. The sentiments are from Delightful Dozen and Remembering Your Birthday. I just love all the fun messages in both of these sets, don't you? I used bold primary colors Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point. The little circles on the Legos were made with the 1/2" circle punch and sponged with the coordinating color to give it a little depth. I also popped them up on Dimensionals. I think they really do look like Legos!
Of course, I had to make a custom envelope using my Envelope Punch Board, as I extended the Legos off the edges of the card, so it wouldn't fit into a standard envelope.

Stamp Club--Ladies Night Out!
Do you constantly dedicate yourself to someone else at home and at work? Do you find yourself frazzled, exhausted, and wishing you had more time to create? Are you in need of some "me time?" There is a solution!
On the first and second Friday evenings of every month there is a wonderful group of ladies who meet at my house in anticipation of learning new and creative projects. We play with stamps, colorful paper and ink, cool tools, glitter, pearls and rhinestones. We learn new techniques and form new friendships. There's chatter about personal lives, creations we have made or seen, and swaps to share. Of course, there is always something delicious to eat as well!
Doesn't that sound like a great Ladies Night Out? Those nights are also know as Stamp Club nights here. We draw names to see who will be the hostess each month and that person receives all the FREE benefits Stampin' Up! has to offer a hostess.
If this sounds like a great evening away from work, kids, husband, errands, housework, and all the other demands on your time and emotions, please contact me to learn more about how you can join Stamp Club. You will be so happy you did! It's a mini-getaway every month with time just for you; and it's an incredible stress-reliever! Then you can go back to your family and friends refreshed and ready to tackle whatever life throws at you.
There are currently spaces available in the group that meets on the first Friday of the month at my home in O'Fallon, Missouri. There will also be a new Club starting in Union, Missouri, beginning in January on the third Tuesday evening of the month. There are still a few spots available in that group. So if you are near either of these areas and are ready for some "me time", contact me today to learn more about joining Stamp Club. You will be so glad you did!
