Have you ever had a friend who just needs a smile and a hug? Sending them a card to do this just might make their day! This card is like getting a hug in the mailbox! The
Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder gives texture and interest to the
Real Red layer. The center layer was stamped twice--once on
Whisper White and once on
Soft Sky Cardstock, then the
Soft Sky layer was cut out on the inside of the border and layered onto the
Whisper White image so the border edge showed white and not blue. I tried to do it without this extra step, but the white gave it just the right amount of pop! The white banner was cut out of the
Whisper White layer before adhering the
Soft Sky layer to it.
I CASED this card from Linda Heller and loved her version so much, I made pretty much an exact duplicate. The only difference is that I skipped the
Silver Brads on the tops of the banner poles and cut out the whole hedgehog from the
Crumb Cake Cardstock, including the spines. You can see her original card with instructions
HERE.
UPDATE: Can you believe I posted this days ago and just now noticed that I didn't tell you the name of the stamp set? It is A Little Smile, just like the title of the post. So sorry about that!!
What do you think? I love how fun and cheery it looks!
I love this stamp! So cheery!
