Thanksgiving Tables

Here are a few images of my home ready for the Thanksgiving guests.

These are the place cards I made for everyone.  Each one is filled with 3 Hershey Nuggets wrapped with coordinating Designer Series Paper.  The ribbon is Copper Trim from the 2017 Holiday Catalog and the gem on the leaf is a Clear Faceted Gem colored with the new Copper Stampin' Blends.  It's a perfect match!

Here are my tables just before guests arrived.  We had a lovely day!  Each table was also decorated with die cut leaves in fall colors for guests to write down something for which they were thankful.  There were 22 total guests!

Block Party!

All ready for the Block Party! Class tomorrow.  Participants will make banners to hang on their decorative blocks and assemble them.  They could choose to put any greeting on the blocks they wish.  My first set said "Welcome."  The next one will say "Thankful."

World Card Making Day

Coneflowers with Delightful Daisy

Here I used the Delightful Daisy Bundle to create these Coneflowers.  The daisy image was stamped on the Delightful Daisy DSP and punched out with the matching punch.  Cut that flower in half, adhere together with Dimensionals and add a 1/2" circle punched out of Early Espresso cardstock that was run through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  Attach that to the center of your daisy and wha la!  You have made a Coneflower, albeit a rather uniquely colored one.  :)  This is a fun and simple card that offers lots of depth and interest!  Boldly contrasting colors of Tangerine Tango, Early Espresso and Whisper White with accents of Garden Green give this card a distinctly summer into fall feeling.

Another Block Party! Class

I'm considering offering another Block Party! Class because several people missed the first one and have asked about a second class. If you would like to join us in making this fun home decor project, let me know. I will be scheduling the date as soon as I get feedback from those who are interested.

Class fee is $25 for 7 blocks; additional blocks are $2 each. Class includes 7 blocks cut, sanded and painted; decorative nails; paper supplies cut and ready to assemble; and all tools & adhesives. Various colors and patterns available.

Banners are removable and can be customized to say whatever you wish. They can celebrate seasons, holidays, birthdays, family heritage, or anything you can imagine. . . Make a set for yourself or give as a gift!

Already completed the class and want to make another set of banners? Fee for replaceable banners is $15 for up to 10 banners. $1 for each additional banner.

Block Party!

It's been a really long time since I posted anything here.  Long story short, my computer died and posting images has been more challenging.  In the next weeks I will be sharing with you some of the terrific projects we have been making in my classes and clubs.

This great home decor project will be the focus of my Block Party! class on September 22nd.  The blocks will be all prepped and ready for you to attach the banners you make.  These banners are removable, so you can change them for different seasons.  This will make great home decor whether you keep it for yourself or give as a gift.  Guests may choose a time slot of 2:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. for the class.

This set features Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Ovals Framelits, and Large Letters Framelits.

Eastern Palace Mini Explosion Box

Lovely little treat boxes were made for my May class attendees with the Eastern Palace Specialty DSP.  I used the coordinating Eastern Medallions Thinlit Dies to make the inside foil layer and the flower on the lid.  Detail accents on the lid are from the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers.  Thanks to Birgit Seidler for her inspiration and directions for creating this sweet little box!

This is a card I made using the products in these bundles.  I love the rich jewel tones combined with a pop of bright Lemon Lime Twist!  I also used the new Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock for the card base.

Window Box Thinlit Luminaries

These lovely luminaries were made with the Window Box Thinlits in the Occasions Catalog.  I used a bit of Vellum glued to the inside of each side to give it a soft, frosted glow.  Inside each box a battery operated tealight votive shimmers.  I cut the pattern out of every side except the one I used for the bottom.  This project was inspired by Karin Muller and you can see her original project HERE.  You can see she used pastels and that, too, is a beautiful look!  Thanks for the inspiration, Karin!

I used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits to add a Gold Foil dragonfly to the top of each box.  Now they are beautiful home decor!

Can you spot the two new In Colors featured in these boxes?  Hint:  Their names are Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide.  These In Colors will be in the upcoming 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  I can't wait!

Stamp Club Membership Open

Christmas Cards

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to share with you all the incredible Christmas cards that were made in my classes this fall.  There were about 20 cards plus gift boxes, tags and gift card holders.  I simply couldn't balance my time well enough to get the photographs taken and posted.  My goal for the new year is to be better at balancing my time.  I will do my best to share more projects with you in 2017.
