Over The Rainbow
I think the new Over The Rainbow stamp set is just adorable! One of my Stamp Club members is very Irish in her heritage and proud of it, so I thought this was the perfect set to use for her birthday card. I got this super cute idea from Tracy Elsom here. She stamped each letter on colored cardstock and cut each one out separately. Finding that a bit too tedious, I chose to stamp on Whisper White cardstock and emboss the image with black embossing powder. Then I used markers to color in each letter and cut the word out as a whole, popping it up on Dimensionals. The Owl Punch was used to create the pot of gold and I used the circle punch from retired Itty Bitty Punch Pack to make the gold. I added a tiny four leaf clover punched from that same Itty Bitty Punch Pack out of Cucumber Crush cardstock and hand drew the tiny stem with the marker.

I love your take on my card design, thank you for linking back to my original project. Using the 'flower' punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack as a four-leafed clover was very clever, I might just file that idea away for next St Patrick's Day.
ReplyDeleteThank YOU so much for the inspiration! This is one of my favorite cards I have made. One of my stamping ladies suggested the four leaf clover and I thought that punch would be perfect for it. I plan to make several more of these.
